An effective way of adding special offer information, or basic pricing is often the use of a splash banner, usually a diagonal stripe with the message or call to action.  By creating a more three dimensional version this can dramatically improve the appearance of the banner - with minimal additional design effort.

What do you get when you combine a local community initiative, artists, chalks and kids on a rainy weekend in October?   A fabulous piece of artwork of course!

For the sake of simplicity, this article assumes you are using an already created image for your icon.  Please note that forclarity the image you select for your favicon should be a square.  Remember it will be reduced to 16 x 16 pixels and non square images will become distorted.
