When developing a Joomla site the client will inevitably want a 'holding' page of some sort.  While Joomla can cater to many things an auto holding page is not one of them.  However with a couple of simple steps you can satisfy both your client and development needs.

This series of articles was inspired by the training sessions I hold with new Joomla developers and designers.  There always seem to be the same queries coming up each time and the same selection of tips for new users.  So I have grouped them together for ease of reference.  I hope they are of use, more advanced articles relating to Joomla will be written in the future.

VirtueMart is an Open Source eCommerce solution to be used together with a Content Management System (CMS) called Joomla!™ (but also works with Mambo). Joomla! and VirtueMart are written in PHP and made for easy use in a PHP / MySQL environment.

An Excellent product but with an occasional tweak needed here and there when the rookie installs for the first time.

If you install new Joomla! 1.5 on your server, you get the 'Welcome to the Front Page' title on your Frontpage. One of the frequently asked questions, when starting on in Joomla is where to change this setting. Sometimes, it is difficult to find, where you can change this title.
